We now know what a solder sucker is and we have developed only MLA(Media lab Arts) style of using it.
It was certainly an experience.

Well done team :)

Wednesday, October 26th, 2005

In researching the ergonomics of a controller i came accross this site: Playphoria it has some info on the ergonomics and what actual gameplay the controller gives.

Although the bit about the PS2 controllers is a bit harsh as i think that the controller does actully work.

Experimental Design

Sunday, October 23rd, 2005

I have been looking at different design styles recently and i really liked the work of a guy called Niko at www.weareaiko.com his main site is this site which has really cool video work on www.abnormalbehaviorchild.com and also Ubi at www.twothings.net/ they together did the work for the Greenspace site i mentioned before. They seem to have a very organic design and I really love the way it flows.

So recently I have been Rotoscoping and generally playing with different design principles. I havw started a site for my experimental work. For now it doesnt have much on there just a short animation with my first stage of design work which i was experimenting with. Let me know what you think of it, here is the new site:

www.designby.me.uk DOnt for get to check out the other sites as they have some really nice work.

Uncompressed

Tuesday, October 18th, 2005

Whilst reading Digital Storytelling it mentioned a film called Uncompressed. This movie is really good it gives you the control of the movie, you get to choose who you follow in the story and if you want to change your mind when your character meets one of the other character you just click them.

Uncompressed tells its story from six different points of view. Each character’s perspective, arranged in specific chapters can be watched in a linear fashion. But the best way to view the film, is to constantly shift between perspectives by selecting any other character’s point of view within each chapter as the story unfolds.
