What makes a creative?

I read many magazines and online blogs that talk about creative talent, what makes a person creative?
Is it the ideas they have, the tools they use or the way they do things?

Is it a talent or a skill to be creative?

I would consider it to be both.
I think you need to have a creative brain to use the tools you choose in a creative way.
I also believe that it has to be a skill to be able to use the tools in the first place. I am not sure if one can exist without the other.
You need creative skills to do things but you need a mind set that is creative to those implement ideas.

After reading The Nature of Talent, I would agree with what is said. Creative’s do have some natural creative ideas but it takes a lot of hard work to ue those ideas which is where the skill comes into it.
